As acting director of Evangelism and Church Growth ministries (ECG), which includes 1001 new worshiping communities, I have been inspired at how God is at work through this movement. I loved connecting with you in Florida for our recent 1001 coaches gathering and Disciple Making church conference—and hearing how this ministry area can serve your churches and presbyteries more faithfully.

You are receiving New Church, New Way because you have signed up in the past for some of our ECG e-newsletters, including 1001 New Worshiping Communities. As we move forward, this e-newsletter will provide you with resources for new worshiping communities—and stories of God breathing life our church through this movement, and other transformation ministries in ECG.

Isaiah 43:19 reminds us that God is continually doing a new thing: “Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” I’m excited to learn about the new things the Spirit is doing in you and your congregations during this season. Keep me posted!

In Christ,
Chip Hardwick

Early Stages. We often think new ministry begins with a gathering or event, but many ministries begin with participation in the community. Think farmers markets, kids sporting teams, libraries, food banks, hiking trails, community action initiatives, etc. Check out how The Nyack Project is connecting with people in this funky, artsy community near New York City.
